Adelard is hosting a Safety Assurance Case Workshop

Adelard, part of NCC Group, is hosting a hybrid Safety Assurance Case Workshop dedicated to the nuclear industry stakeholders on March 14th, 2024 at 1PM – 5PM EST.

The workshop is organised to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and to enable the industry to gain a better understanding of the technology and the activities in the area of a safety assurance case framework.

In view of industry’s desire for performance-based regulatory evaluation and interest in the safety assurance case approach, Adelard is seeking input for NRC-sponsored research in a DI&C safety assurance case framework tailored to the needs of the US nuclear industry. This framework could be built on results available from the DARPA Automated Rapid Certification of Software (ARCOS) program, which was based on Assurance 2.0.

Adelard supports Safety Case Adoption at Gentoo Group

Housing association Gentoo engaged safety case expert Adelard, part of NCC Group, to help develop a pilot safety case for one of their high-rise buildings in line with new obligations under the Building Safety Act 2022.

The project, built around safety case mentoring and knowledge transfer, aimed to develop Gentoo's own safety case capabilities within their building safety team, evaluate the use of the ASCE safety case tool, and prepare a broader programme of work and roadmap for safety case adoption.

Adelard is hosting Best Practices in Safety Cases for Higher Risk Buildings Forum

We are thrilled to be hosting a breakfast networking and experience sharing forum “Best Practices in Safety Cases for Higher Risk Buildings” on 29th February 2024.

The event is organised in anticipation of the April 2024 deadline set by the Building Safety Regulator requiring HRB accountable persons to have safety cases and safety case reports in place for their higher risk buildings. It will bring together building safety professionals and safety case experts and will provide a unique opportunity to share invaluable insights and knowledge.

Adelard has released an updated version of its DOORS integration for ASCE. Now compatible with the latest versions of IBM Rational DOORS classic, (9.6 and 9.7), the integration permits traceable content managed by DOORS to be inserted into the safety or assurance case within ASCE.
