The research projects undertaken by Adelard include
- Three major international research projects sponsored by the European Union on various aspects of safety assurance.
- UK research projects for the Health and Safety Executive, the Civil Aviation Authority and a consortium of nuclear industries in the UK (CINIF).
- Short term research projects for specific companies in the finance and nuclear power sector to identify options for near-term projects.

Adelard have highly qualified staff with either first or second degrees, and two of the staff have part-time professorships in computer system dependability at City University London. The staff have a broad range of skills in safety assessment assurance case design, software development, software testing and analysis and human factors.
