Tim studied Natural Sciences at Downing College, Cambridge, graduating with a BA and MSci, before completing a MSc and DPhil in theoretical chemistry at the University of Oxford. His research was based around studying how complex chemical reactions can be modelled and understood computationally.
Tim joined Adelard in 2020 and has worked on projects across a range of safety-critical sectors. Within the nuclear sector, he has worked as part of a team assessing smart devices for nuclear I&C systems, as well as conducting research into assuring the possible use of artificial intelligence in nuclear power plants. He is a member of Adelard’s housing safety team, developing safety cases to meet incoming regulations for higher risk residential buildings. He also conducts work within the security and aviation sectors.
