Hazard Analysis

We have previously used all the major hazard analysis techniques:

  • Hazard and Operability Studies (Hazops): we regularly lead and record Hazops in several sectors including rail, defence and civil nuclear.

  • Structured What-If Analysis (Swift): we also carry out Swift analysis, our recent experience including air traffic management components and map systems.

  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA): we regularly undertake FTA and assess FTA performed by others.

  • Event Tree Analysis (ETA): recently experience of ETA includes assisting with the ETA of a command and control system and advising on the ETA of a motorway traffic control system.

  • Failure Mode, Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA): we perform and assess FMECA.

  • Other methods: we have experience of several other hazard analysis methods including Cause-Consequence Analysis and Bow-Tie Analysis.

We also provide training on hazard analysis techniques.
