providing safety engineering support to DOSG.
- (2006–present) Member of Adelard's teams
developing safety assessments for a series of RAF airfield systems.
- (2006–present) Member of Adelard's team
providing safety engineering support to UKHO.
- (2006–present) Member of Adelard's team
providing safety engineering support on the development of motorway signage
systems.
- (2006–2007) Member of Adelard's team
providing safety engineering support to ALM IPT. The main task involved
converting a series of safety cases (in eSafetyCase format) to Adelard's ASCE
format to support on-going maintenance.
- (2005–present) Member of Adelard's ISA
team for Bowman and the associated CBM(Land) project. This has included
reviewing various product, installation and operational safety cases, and
providing specialist advice on modular/compositional safety cases for CBM(Land)
project.
- (2005–present) Member of Adelard's ISA
team for IADM. This has included producing a safety case for the Early
Entry/Small Scale control platform (EE/SS – a portable tactical air command and
control system – used for identifying aircraft, tactical airspace management and
the provision of flight information and control) and Coningsby Remote
Workstation System (CRWS – an air command and control system installed at RAF
Coningsby), which are based on the MASE software system (provided off-the-shelf
by the NATO Programming Centre (NPC), Glons, Belgium).
- (2006) Member of Adelard's team acting as the expert witness (on behalf of Data Systems & Solutions Limited) for the
dispute between DSSL and Westinghouse Rail Systems Limited (WRSL) on a
contracted safety-critical software development project.
- (2005–2006) Member of Adelard's team developing a safety appraisal for the ATC Filterswitch used at UK RAF bases.
August 2004—October 2005: Associate, Origin Consulting(York) Limited, York, UK:
- Project-based (part time) consulting work for Origin. The
work involves translating the existing text version safety
cases for the subsystems of RAF C-130J Aircraft into a
graphical format with an improved argument structure using
Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) and identifying problems
with original safety cases.
