While installing ASCE 3.5.10, a number of error messages are shown in pop-up windows. The messages indicate that I do not have all the correct libraries. How can I fix my installation?
This is caused by installing ASCE 3.5 without full administrative permissions. In order to fix this problem, uninstall ASCE and then reinstall it. However, reinstallation must be carried out by a user who has got full administrative permissions.
Note: Problems related to the ASCE installer have now been fixed, and may only appear if you downloaded ASCE 3.5 before November 2006.

When double-clicking on an ASCE file, the following message is displayed on a dialog window: "Run time error 91: Object variable or With block variable not set". Is there any way to avoid this message and keep using ASCE normally?
At present, we are working on a maintenance release that will eliminate the cause of this error. Meanwhile, you may try to open ASCE first and then the file you wanted to use (via the File->Open option in the main menu). Restarting your computer will solve the problem too.

I inserted an image, whose name has got one or more blank spaces, into a node and I cannot see it. Why does this happen?
This is due to a problem between the default settings employed by HTML Tidy, which ASCE 3.5 uses to clean up HTML code, and the Microsoft HTML editor.
In order to fix this problem, you just have to add an option to the ASCE tidy filters as follows:
fix-uri: no
You can add this option in a single line using a text editor. You should add the line to each of the three filters, namely, paste-special-full.tidy, paste-special-minimal.tidy and sanity-check.tidy. These filters are all in the folder C:\Program Files\ASCE-v35\tidy-filters.
Note: This problem has been fixed by the latest release of the ASCE installer. It may only appear if you downloaded ASCE 3.5 before November 2006.

When creating an export path, the links in my network do not connect to the correct points on the node. How can I fix this?
This occurs only when using the manual link setting in ASCE 3.5. We are currently working on a maintenance release that will solve this problem. In the meantime, you may try to close the export path window down and then select the auto layout (View←Link attachment->Auto layout). Reset back to manual after you have created your export path.
