ASCE™ - Dynamic Narrative Regions

A particular service that a plugin can provide is to include or summarise information from other sources to be included as part of the narrative of an ASCE node. These are called Dynamic Narrative Regions (DNRs).

A Dynamic Narrative Regions (DNR) acts as an information 'chunk' that is mapped from an external data source such as other ASCE networks or Hazard logs databases. This support the generation of, for example, safety case reports from material held and maintained in several sources such as system and component level safety cases, and supports traceability of changes across these documents. DNRs can be updated automatically by simply clicking on the DNR region and then on 'update'. The 'validate' button will tell you if the mapped data has changed since last mapped.

DNRs can also be updated and validated globally from the tools menu on the main window providing a powerful traceability capability.
