ASCE - Download beta version plugins
Please note:
- These plugins are still under development and are not formally supported by Adelard, although we will endeavour to help you use them where possible.
- These plugins are beta software and come with no warranty that they are fit for any purpose whatsoever. You use them at your own risk. If you wish to examine their design, you should inspect the source code before using them.
Please note also that plugins cannot be used with the Professional version of ASCE.
Installation
Plugins are posted on this site as zip files. Once you have downloaded and unzipped the file, you will see either a file whose name ends in .exe or .xml (as well, perhaps, as other documents such as a user manual).
- Files ending in .exe: automatic installer
- Simply double-click the file to run.
- Files ending in .xml: manual installer
- Copy the file into your user profile plugin folder and restart ASCE.
The first time you run the plugin, you will see a dialogue warning you that a new plugin has been detected, and prompting you to accept it. Click "Accept" to load the new plugin. Note that this dialogue has a checkbox which you can use to suppress warnings on subsequent occasions.
Plugins
The HTML Tidy macro uses the HTMLTidy library — this removes anomalies from the HTML of node narratives in an ASCE network. This can be useful if you have when pasted in rich HTML from other applications such as Microsoft Word which may have added extraneous markup.
This plugin is not required for versions of ASCE 3.5 or later, as HTML tidying is performed automatically
