Description

ASCE fails to open showing an error message similar to the one below:

Explanation

The problem arises because ASCE cannot find the libraries necessary for it to execute. The missing libraries are listed in the error message. This could arise in a number of ways:
  • Failing to reboot the machine immediately after installation
  • Installing ASCE through an account other than the Administrator account
  • Installing ASCE by clicking on "Run as Administrator" from a normal account
  • Applying a patch to the registry or rolling the registry back to a saved point

Fix

Please reinstall ASCE using the Administrator account ensuring to reboot the machine after the installation is complete. In very rare cases this fails to fix the problem in which case you should contact ASCE support with the list of libraries reported missing in the error message.
